Job Title – E-Commerce Sales Executive
Location Internal role – based at DVS Cardiff
Role Summary – We are seeking a motivated and dynamic E-commerce Sales Executive to join our team in Cardiff. This role will be pivotal in driving online sales across platforms such as Amazon and eBay. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in e-commerce sales, dealing with both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions.
They will manage product listings, oversee marketing strategies, and provide pre- and post-sale services to ensure a smooth customer journey.
This is a unique opportunity to develop a database and create growth within a very forward-thinking Security distribution business.
This is a full-time role requiring the candidate to be available between the hours of 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
We expect a positive, proactive, and focused attitude towards the role and the associated duties.
Full support, instructions and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and optimise product listings on platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and other online sales channels.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales, including promotional campaigns, pricing strategies, and competitor analysis.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service requests pre- and post-sale.
• Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and delivery.
• Monitor sales performance and generate reports to track progress against targets.
• Collaborate with the team to optimise product descriptions, images, and keywords for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), which is the process of optimising content, websites, and product listings to improve their purposes.
• Maintain and build relationships with B2B and B2C customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Analyse market trends and adjust strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with platform policies and marketplace regulations.
Key Attributes and Experience
• Proven experience in selling online via platforms such as Amazon, eBay, or similar.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce sales processes and customer service.
• Experience in both B2B and B2C sales environments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from sales data.
• Proficiency in digital marketing techniques (SEO, PPC, social media) is a plus.
• Familiarity with online payment systems and shipping processes.
• Self-driven with a passion for sales and e-commerce.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and able to adapt to changing market conditions.
